This wine, ideal for keeping and full-bodied, is typical of the Montagne Saint Émilion appellation. Its main assets, which can be found in the various vintages, are: nice ruby color, beautiful nose of ripe berry fruits, very beautiful woody, bold nose, showing an outstanding length in the mouth.
An elegant wine, which can be kept for a long time in the wine cellar. To fully appreciate it, the wine needs to be opened 1 or 2 hours before tasting it. It is created from the very old vines of Château Beauséjour.

The 2001 « Clos de l'Église » cuvée
This wine has a beautiful strong color, with ruby glints showing a slight development. The nose displays lovely aromas of red fruits, mixed with fresh notes of buds. A supple, round attack opens in the mouth, supported by a fine tannic structure leading to a tight finish. 2 stars in the 2005 "Guide Hachette".

The 2003 « Clos de l'Église » cuvée
This elegant wine shows a lovely deep color, with beautiful ruby glints. The nose exhibiting aromas of plum and black fruits is characteristic of this vintage, thus combining a tendency to be solar and a more classical, proper to Bordeaux, freshness. In the mouth, its tight tannic structure imparts an interesting firmness, thus leading to a young and fresh finish. Gold Medal at Concours Général de Paris, 2005. Rated 17.5 out of 20 in the 2007 Gault & Millau guide.
